This project changes light colors based on movement within a stairwell. It deals with reflective/non-reflective surfaces that further manipulate the overall effect of the light in the stairwell area, creating an other-worldly experience.
Facilities Management Services (FMS) at Carnegie Mellon University has released an RFP for an artful, peripheral way to communicate current energy usage to the campus community. The goal of the project is based on the idea that if community members are aware of their power usage, especially during high-load seasons (summer, finals, etc), they will be more conscious of their decisions to conserve energy.
Inspired by the serenity of bamboo forests, Projection Reflection connects the natural elements of wind, light, and water in an interactive outdoor design.
In music, the bridge refers to the part of a song that reflects on the melody and prepares the listener for a return to the chorus. The Bridge is a participatory music-making project that uses the physical bridge between Bakery Square One and Two as both an homage to Pittsburgh’s jazz history and a way to combine the creative talents of Pittsburgh’s East Liberty neighborhood and Google employees.
