The manipulation feels pretty generic, and not as creepy as it could be. It's very hard to make out the lyrics. If the lyrics were clearer, I think it would add to the creepy effect, since they can actually be a little unsettling when heard in this context (e.g. "I hope someday you'll join us / And the world will live as one"). I think if I fiddled around some more with the layered pitches, it could have turned out a little better, maybe added some echo to make it even more surreal sounding.
