A pulse sensor is used to control the pan and tilt of three mirrors. Depending on the rate of the pulse, the mirror animation and therefore the light reflection, is manipulated.
The stands for the mirrors and the two servos were laser cut out of 1/16" clear acrylic. A wire was used to support the tilt rotation of the top servo.
When a stage light was used to reflect light off the mirrors. The result is captured in this photograph.
Here is a top view of the mounted mirror on their plywood base. Since this is imagined as a architectural ceiling system, this view is similar to what occupants in a space would see when they looked up.
