Reflection

While working on this project I learned that coming up with toy ideas that seem plausible is very difficult. I found myself coming up with an idea and then seeing how it was unsafe, or would be sturdy, or wouldn't teach a physical concept very well. This showed me how many constraints there are within toy design. If I would do this project again, I would write down more of my ideas instead of poking holes in them and discarding them before I recorded them.

When I was a child, I always liked toys that allowed me to build things. I loved legos, paper airplanes, and trucks (I would have "job sites" all around my yard). These taught me basic hand skills, but also fed my interest in building things. Also, toys allowed me to create my own stories. I would take all of my lego sets and make displays with medieval or Star Wars battles.
