Description

The magnetic crane is used in a two-player game that simultaneously teaches kids about the magnetic property of ferrous metals while engaging them in a game of trivia.

Player 1 starts by randomly arranging 15 metal squares and 10 wooden squares to form a 5x5 grid. Under the grid, there's an image related to a particular science topic. Player 1 picks the set of cards corresponding to the image and asks Player 2 a trivia question. If the question is answered correctly, Player 2 can pick up the corresponding square using the crane and place it in the back of the truck. Repeat for up to 3 trials or until Player 2 gets a question wrong. Then switch roles and continue asking trivia questions. The game continues until all cards are covered or a player correctly identifies the picture (which reveals itself over several trials).

Caution: If you answer a question that corresponds to a wooden block, the player will be unable to pick it up with the magnet. Continue to the next trial.
