Streetlight Manifesto is one of the best bands at not just being another band with a vocalist who does all the work with a band that only comps with the occasional solo. This song in particular begins with an initial instrumental feature where the trombone trades off with the ensemble for a good minute. Once the vocalist comes in, the horns do not simply go away. They hang in the background but jump in quite often for hits and to punctuate the main melodic line the singer is carrying. This piece is also very good at switching between very punctuated accented sections and more melodic lines without ever losing intensity. The song is consistently upbeat and even though there isn't a whole lot of dynamic contrast it is still very musical.
