The song I chose to analyze the beginning of is Bowie, by Flight of the Conchords.

At the very beginning, there is a fade-in of some atmospheric noise or a guitar amp. This eventually crossfades to some guitar chords, when the vocals start up, and the song really begins. The sounds from the beginning of the song come back throughout the song, but they're the only thing going on at the beginning.
