MIDI SEQUENCE

I was inspired by the repetitive sounds found in most video game music and decided to incorporate that into my piece. I tried to put in as many descending and ascending notes to provoke interest from the audience. The beginning of the piece is quieter and does not go into a crescendo until it reaches the middle of the composition. The introduction is repeated again at the conclusion, but ends with a different note and provides closure to the piece.

When I applied the quantization, it changed some of the length of the notes to a certain degree that did not quite fit what I had intended. I ended up fixing up the notes afterwards even after they were quantized. Although my playing is not perfect, I chose to change it after the quantization. However, the quantization did clean up a few mistakes on the shorter notes and made them fit the overall rhythm of the song.
