As any longtime Windows user can tell you, the error sounds that come with Windows are possibly some of the most frustrating sounds one can hear. Inspired by this video, I decided to cut out the first two error sounds and make a small track with them.

The form is AB. I wanted to add in a fade out section with a similar feel to the start, which WOULD have made it ABA', but A' wound up being too long for the melody. The A section also takes in advice from Belkin's section on introduction - by slowly starting with the two sounds, the song is made to crescendo - not necessarily in volume, but in sound density.

As you can probably tell, there isn't a lot of complexity in the creation. Unfortunately, due to the way the sounds were created, the beats were marginally too short - this necessitated some careful fiddling with the position of the notes. The other major side effect is that this precluded a straight beat. I'm sure with some more time, I could finagle such a one, but in the limited creation window, I had to make do.

I wanted to make another simple melody here, as I used Twinkle Twinkle Little Star for the last assignment, and I hope the simplicity sticks with you!

The Logic file/mp3 are too large to upload! The respective dropbox links are presented:
