From my many attempts, I learned a lot, not only with the 3D printer, but in fusion as well. I learned a bunch about the timeline feature and how to go back and remodel things. Despite all this, I definitely still had a bunch of frustrations with the project when it came to modeled and I wish I took a little more time to learn about Fusion to get it to do what I want.
I'm also pleased that I printed on the ultimakers, which had a white filament, instead of the NVbots machines because I prefer the white finish a lot more and it fits with the apple aesthetic.
If I could do the project again, I would attempt another type of lid, maybe one that locks in a little tighter with a snap of some sort, and I would add a 3D printed clip instead of resorting to a store bought one, because the material seems to have a lot more flex than i originally thought.
Overall, I am very pleased with the outcome of my case, especially for my first 3D printing experience. I think I really benefited from keeping my design simple because it was much more straightforward to print. I learned a lot about clearance, especially with really small projects and fits. In general, this is probably the smallest box I've ever built and really helped me learn to appreciate 3D printers in our world today.
