The topic of my project is the ice bucket challenge. For those of you who don’t know, the goal of the ice bucket challenge was to raise awareness for Lou Gehrig’s disease, which is a disease that causes the degeneration of neurons and leads to loss of muscular functions. I found out a while ago that the person who sparked the ice bucket challenge actually lived 30 minutes away from me near Boston. Because of this, I was inspired to create this project with the goal of displaying just how widespread and effective the ice bucket challenge was.
