5. Process & Procedure

1. Create CAD model in Autodesk Fusion360
   
2. Laser cut the base of the model in thick paper for testing and for adjusting minor problems
   
3. Laser cut the base after all adjustments in plywood and acrylics (black and white) layer by layer
   
4. Send STL file to Stratasys to 3D print the tips and the rings
   
5. Create the  movable pieces by assembling and gluing the 3D printed tips to the binder post
   
6. Check the mechanism and adjust by adding small adjustment pieces
   
7. Glue the layers of the base with the posts of the binder post in their position
   
8. Screw the binder post after the base is completely dried
   

Constraints:

It will be an object which the user will carry around all the time. Therefore, compact is a very important value. From card size to pocket size seems the reasonable parameter for the design. Plus, a certain thickness to assure the grip may seem necessary.
