For this specific project, the goal is for the user to understand and/or become more aware of a phenomena by being presented with clear (graphically excellent) data that easily describes to the user its purpose. The point is for the data to be presented in such a clear way that it can give an significant or emotional impact on the user. I had to deconstruct my original thoughts down to the purpose of learning an instrument itself – to be musical.
If the goal is to be musical, the goal is to understand all of what makes up music. A web that can diverge from the artist’s genre to the symmetry their rhythm could do just that.
