I conceived an installation where my fabrication is connected to a servo motor. This device functionality revolves around dynamically responding to outter temperature changes. Upon get detecting of temperature from internet, the servo motor engages, adjusting the length of the fabrication and thereby creating distinctive textures.
The end result, resembling a footmat, transforms the installation into a sensory experience. Users can not only visually perceive the changing textures but can also gauge the ambient temperature by physically interacting with the surface. This novel approach ensures that individuals, upon getting up, can intuitively discern the weather from the feel underfoot. This project not only successfully bridges theory and practice but also introduces a unique and practical application in responsive design, where the environment is not just seen but felt.
