While our original BOM calls for solenoids to register transmitted signals, we opted for a microservo to keep the setup minimalist and focused, as we felt that our remake might reference Gaver and Strong’s original only loosely.
We considered using a three-axis accelerometer to detect changes in orientation, before settling on the ball tilt sensor, which the PhysComp Lab, graciously, had in stock.
