No longer do you need to carry around your key fob, your ID, your credit card, your company access card, your glucose reader, your flash drive, or wear your fitbit. THiNK smart tattoo replaces all of that. This beautiful sub-dermal "tattoo" is comprised of nanoparticle ink, an RFID chip and 'electronic skin,' consisting of 'sensors, transistors, frequency capacitors, wireless antennas and even solar cells to power the patch (1).'

When the tattoo was debuted, it became the THING to have. Self-expression mixed with self-reliance - a thing of beauty that allowed you to go out without attachments or objects. Pockets were no longer necessary. The phrase 'albatross around your neck' gave way to 'keychain in your pocket.' The world was free!

Unfortunately, once THiNK reached critical mass, thieves began targeting unsuspecting people, using electronics to swipe their data during a handshake, or forgoing niceties and simply cutting it out of people's skin. Companies were able to know their employees' movements around town due to the ubiquitous RFID readers and people's bodies began rejecting the THiNK tattoos in small and large ways. Some only got rashes, while some died from allergic reactions. One group of hackers found a way to get the tattoo to release some of its nanoparticles into the bloodstream and used it to hold people's health hostage for large sums of money.

Now the public is scheduling expensive surgery to have THiNK removed, their scars constant reminders of how technology can go too far.
