  This painting although I didn't realize it immediately is incredibly welcoming. Kevin (as I will call him) has his arms outstretched drawing you into the painting. Also the colors are very muted but incredibly complimentary so once your eye is drawn to it it feels comfortable to stay. All of the colors in the painting compliment each other and are blended very well. Standing close you get a sense of each color individually how they all play on each other and how well it is blended. It was when I was close that I noticed how well the colors worked together. He used all primary colors and then green and white. The green compliments all of the colors because yellow and blue make green and green is the compliment of red. When you step further back is when you notice how the painting as a whole is incredibly well blended and soothing. I noticed as soon as I looked at the painting how relaxed it felt. Especially juxtaposed with
