Outcome

Intention

I was tasked with building a holder. I felt that I needed a holder that could hold my pens and pencils because I lose them pretty often. I also wanted specific slots to hold specific pens or pencils. I did this by changing the sizes of the holes.

Process/Procedure

I decided to fillet the sides of a 3-d box to make it more smooth. I created the holes at an angle by using the rail tool and aligning the extruding with a slanted line. I alternated the angles of the lines so that if there were 5 pencils/pens in the holder, it would be balanced. I also created different sized holes to hold different types of pencils or pens.

Reflection

It was interesting applying the skills I learned in class to a real project. It was also fun watching the holder being printed from the 3-d model I created.
