Outcome

Choker Hanger

1. Intention

I have over 20 chokers but they are now all over the place...Some of them hang on a hook, some others are on the table or in bags. This project is a chance to make a proper holder to sort these chokers in order so I can easily identify them when needed.

2. Research

Common jewelry holders take the size and weight of the pieces of jewelry into consideration. The circumference of a choker is often 14in or 16in, which make the length around 13cm when hangs.

3. Aesthetic Inspiration

After brainstorming of the design, the outcomes reminded me vintage dry racks and clothes hangers. So I found some images of them as my visual references.

7. Reflection

The procedures of this project were quite smooth and successful. The only part I would improve is the hanging structure. I modeled two holes in the middle of the two crossed poles. After pulling a string through the two holes, the holder can stay balanced so I used four strings instead.
