"An Ode to Post Consumerism" re-conceptualizes a traditional meditative labyrinth as an IKEA floor plan. An empty big box retail store stands in for the Gothic cathedral. The large empty volume provides opportunities for distant reverberating sound to be coupled with close directed sound. As one moves through the winding spaces, orientation is maintained in relation to the distant sound sources while differentiated localized sound marks progression along the path.
