Introduction
It is always interesting for a human to imagine what will the world around us be like if we are another kind of creature, whether as tiny ants or giant dinosaurs. This project explores the idea and future of wearable electronics through the form of objects, performances and installations. It helps humans gain a ant view and experience what the world is like if we are an ant.
Location of Ant
Imaging we are as an ant wandering along the street, the first question is how we are going to locate the ant. We all know that if we stare at certain object, we obtain an image of that object on retina. We can use wearable electronics to gather these pictures and match them with background around us in real time to locate the ant (The place from where we can see around as an ant).
Pictures in an Ant Eye
After locating the ant, we can use wearable electronics to transport energy to air particles around the location and make them photosensory. Then, each air particle is like a micro-camera from which we can get tiny pieces of the world around the ant. Further, wearable electronics could be applied to analyze these data, make a whole picture and transmit images back to retina in real time.
