Robo.Op is really interesting because it allows almost any user to interact with a seemingly complex robot. The app reduces the movement of a 6-axis ABB robot down to its most basic form. For many people operating a huge steel machine for the first time is a nerve-racking experience, this project somewhat eliminates that anxiety. This project was really interesting to me because of my own experience trying to operate the ABB robot. Navigating each joint and understanding that the axis of the robot can change can quickly get confusing when operating the movement with the teach pendant's joystick. Although it is important to understand the fundamentals of an ABB robot and this app helps users interact with the robot without having to learn how to program movement through Robot Studio.

This project creates an instant reaction and connection with the user. I assume that the sensors are piezoelectric and pick up the pressure of when someone places their hand on the board. The board reacts to that pressure by turning on small lights. The strongest part of plyLight is the interactive nature of the project. It's a piece that seemingly could be easily mass-produced and is intriguing to a wide variety of people. Although the CNC could reproduce numerous duplicates of the wooden board, the individual sensors that light a single LED could pose a problem.

This art installation is also an interactive piece that engages pedestrians in the area. The moon is made up of numerous light bulbs that react and turn on according to the rotation of the manual wheel. The piece is well crafted, light-hearted and fun. The simple and straightforward reaction allows anyone to appreciate the piece. The cycle of the moon is a phenomenon that even young children understand, making the project  interesting to anyone who passes by the installation.
