Effects and Sampling

For this piece, I used comedic sound effect that I sampled for the intro. The purpose is to build an expectation of something big to come right after, then I deliver by throwing in all the layers at once. These layers are the following: a yelling sound effect sampled to create the "lyrics", then a original recording of tapping a mallet (original was really low pitched, but I used higher octaves) to create the main melody that is then looped. A basic baseline of 3 notes are added and looped, and a drum beat I found in the library. I used the concept of decrescendo by removing the layers one by one based on least importance. In the end it is just the melody left. The focus of this project is to create a lively beat, and I'd say the form is ABC in that even though the melody stays the same, the background changes throughout.
