Synth Patches

1. Alien Synth
     For this patch, I changed the frequencies of the Amp and Filter to allow a more high pitched, light sound to come through. I also added Vibrato in order to add resonating sound to each note played, which has an alien-like feeling to it. I think this synth patch creates a light and other-worldy sound- it would accompany an alien in a children's movie or cartoon, rather than in a horror film or action film. 

2. Pretty Synth

For this synth patch, I continued to play with the Filter and Amp frequencies, but this time I let softer frequencies through. I also changed the Sine level and volume of the Amp in order to keep the sound low and soft. The patch that I came up with flows really well from one note to the next and each note builds upon the other. The sound reminds me of a string instrument such as a violin or a harp, where the notes continue to vibrate and play as you play the next note. 

3. Percussive Synth

For this sound patch, I started with the Razor Bass synth but changed the Oscillator to the square in order to filter out a lot of the extra noise. I also changed the frequencies of the Filter and Amp in order to keep some of the richness of the sound without too many frequencies playing at the same time. The sound has a richness to it and allows each note to keep playing as if it were its own beat, instead of a fluid, extended note.
