I decided to do an old Urdu poem called "Yaar Tha Gulzar Tha", that is a favourite of mine. Written by Bahadur Shah Zafar in the late 17th century, it traces the changes in his life from his youth to his old age. The Yeti USB Mike was really good; the recordings, especially the one within critical distance, turned out far better than I expected. That said, there were a couple of noticeable differences between both recording:
Within Critical Distance: The recording is deep, full sounding, clear, and with little to no noise. Natural reverb on my voice is near absent.
Outside Critical Distance: General white noise is much more. That said, no distinct background noises have been picked up. There is more natural reverb. Most importantly, the bass in the previous recording is near absent here. My voice also seems somewhat more 'metallic'.
