Mimic the ambient orb by creating a device that uses neopixels to react to a IFTTT webhook.

This practice exercise will challenge you to create an ambient calendar alert using a neopixel strip. By the end of the project, you’ll have connected your Particle device to your Google Calendar through IFTTT and display an alert using a Neopixel LED array

An ambient orb, a light that sits passively in the background and is integrated seamlessly with one's environment, will be powered on to display white light. When there is a meeting about to start, the orb will gradually turn more and more red. As the meeting starts, the orb will gradually turn less and less red until it returns to normal state (i.e. white).

The goal of this project was to create an ambient calendar alert using Neopixels. The Particle Argon was connected to my Google Calendar, and was programmed to change the color displayed on the Neopixel 15 minutes before any meeting on the calendar.

Create an ambient IOT LED notification

Create a device that indicates when there is an upcoming meeting on your google calendar by fading neopixel strip from white to red.

This practice exercise is to create an ambient calendar alert using a neopixel strip. The ambient orb will send an alert to your device a few minutes before an appointment. The neopixels are programmed to respond by fading up slowly and signalling there’s an event and changing color as the event approaches. Ultimately it will then fade out after the event has begun.

A light that reminds you about your upcoming meeting. It will start to emit light 15 mins before the meeting, then slowly turn to red at 5 mins mark before the meeting and glow more intensely until the meeting time, then it will slowly fade.
