In "Box Heads", inverted boxes are suspended on the ceiling, the viewer can "enter" each box by standing underneath a box and putting their head inside. The goal was for each box to represent a different kind of space, and letting the viewer explore each one. The unassuming exteriors of the boxes hides the spaces created by the interior.

This box represents the clash of the inside and outside, your mind and the minds of those around you. You're presented with "my world", a box full of words and colors, and a domineering voice, urging you to follow along. I focus on the senses of sight and hearing as well as slight claustrophobia, adding to the nervous+anticipation mood.

This box represents sleep and dreaming. The inside is dark, lit with a dim blue light, and draped with various colourful fabrics to evoke the privacy and comfort of being under the covers. Fabric is a very tactile material, so this box focuses on the sense of touch as much as sight.
