A moving meme? I don't think the Internet is ready. Your project will eventually lead to audience response. It's one effect when the viewer sits in front of a screen, clicks on a meme that appears exclusively, alone. But what when the memes are transferable and moving? I think your project involves and questions the variability of possible reactions that written word in different forms of at can have.
Your project seems interesting! A couple questions - Will the format be short videos or will it be gifs? Also, have you thought that limiting your target to CMU may limit the virality of your creations? I think there is really cool potential to see favorite characters say something unexpected.
This is a cool approach. Have you considered how/where you will try to spread this? Also, what are the motives behind your work? Is it really just to entertain or is it expression from you, being a college student yourself?
Yeah, the outcome is really amusing and I enjoyed it a lot! You must have spent a lot of time cutting useful clips from movies and editing them to match up exactly with the beats in the background music as the effect of outcome was amazing! Documentation is very clear; and using reverse clips is also a smart idea to increase the sense of humor, so overall I think you did a great job! One small place to improve, as you mentioned yourself, is adding more clips if time allowed since people would usually bear with the repetition for some times, but not too much ;)
Great project. I enjoyed the use of the song - it was catchy and simple and it fit well with the short clips you edited together. It made me smile, and I think it has good potential to go viral since it has clips from many popular movies in it. Perhaps my only criticism is what you said in your inner critic section - some clips may have been repeated a few too many times. Repetition on its own isn't a bad thing, and you can keep a lot of it, but I would have liked to see more clips weaved throughout. Overall, good job!
Your video was really funny! I was interested through the whole video, and I couldn't take my eyes off of it once I started. I think it highlights the creativity of animated movies well, and in the end of the day, I haven't seen much that is like this out there. Great job doing something really cool and original, and I feel like there is a lot of potential here!
This was really well done! I really like the synchronization of the characters' actions to the music. I also like the fact that the different movies blended together quite well. I never really perceived them as separate pieces but more as a cohesive whole. I don't know too much about the mash up genre so I can't tell you much on how to improve it, but as a layperson this was enjoyable. Good job.
