To understand the inner workings of the monster toy.

Process -- Blind Evaluation & Assessment

We first analyzed the experience of using the toy -- rotating a knob causes the toy to bounce up and down. From here, we hypothesized that there's a system of gears and springs that made the toy work. Then, we dissected it to understand the mechanisms by which it operates.

Reflection -- Toy Dissection

Some of our assumptions about the inner mechanics were correct. However, the way in which the toy "jumps" was different, among other factors.
