Skill Investigation: Crotchet

I was really interested in crotchet after learning it, and wanted to try and take it further/make more things with it, so I made a scarf/am making one currently.

Intention

I wanted to explore crotchet more after liking the simplicity and end product of the technique, and I wanted to make something usable and practical and add to my scarf collection, so I made a scarf! Still some more to go though (ran out of yarn on Friday...)

Process

I started out at first and tried a technique that ended up doubling the thickness of it and making it super thick and nice, but it was burning through my yarn, so I then switched to a regular pattern.  However, then I realized that I had made it too thick, and I switched the direction of the scarf using the versatility of the technique.  Now I'm still going, and using the technique to add an extra loop to the end of each row so it doesn't shrink.  Hopefully I have enough yarn! If so I'll make it an infinity or regular depending on the end! It's just a tad too short at the moment

Reflection

I like making the scarf, it is super relaxing, and the versatility of the technique with mess ups is really nice! Also, the texture and pattern is really nice! I've always wanted a simple black scarf :)
