Create a viral video showcasing the joy and strangeness of Data from Star Trek reacting to Donald Trump.
Your final work of this is almost guaranteed to achieve "viral" requirement of this project, considering that there are already so many Star Trek fans out there and people love to see actors being funny. I would suggest you to watch lots of clips that deal with bloopers then either incorporate some of techniques there or make yours different. Look forward to your work!
Ah, Star Trek, Star Trek, Star Trek. I grew up in such a heavily Star Trekked house. Like, my dad has every episode on VHS tapes (he refuses to move on with technology, but mom still has to help him use the VCR), we have giant life-size cardboard cutouts of Kirk and Spock in the family room of our house, and my dad wanted to name me Kirk, though my mom wouldn't let him. So naturally I'm not a fan of it. Though what I do know is that blooper reels always have mass appeal, though I fear that your video won't offer anything new to internet nerds, since you'll likely have to get these bloopers from other blooper videos unless you have a secret blooper reel that's never been released to the public lying around in your dorm room, since you can't make your own Star Trek bloopers. So find some way to make it your own. Maybe like if Patrick Stewart means to say "oh let's fight those klingons" or whatever, he accidentally says "oh let's fight those doughnuts OOPS lol" then like add a graphic of a doughnut getting murdered in the video for comedy. Try something unique like that and you'll stand out more.
This is a one such wonderful mashup of Data and Trump. Anyone who knows both will have fun time watching this video. I especially liked your ending! You definitely are showing what you want to tell to people by cleverly mixing up certain scenes in Star Trek. Also it was entertaining to watch the video and I felt I was willing to spend 3 minutes to watch the video to the end. As the presidential debates and Donald Trump are going viral, I think this video has enough potential to go viral. I really want to see how people react to this.
I really like your idea and concept! I also think you did quite a good job with your execution, and I'm glad you have managed to find a good variety of things to pull from both Data and Trump. However by around halfway through the video I found it to be repetitive and reusing the same jokes over and over again. I would suggest either shortening the video or adding different types of cuts and jokes.
