Hi Claire,
I think your proposals pretty clear on the approach to 'stealing' that you're going to take. You're borrowing the style and methods found in John Baldessari's work to create your composition. Having your style/approach defined is great and puts you in a strong place.
But it's not clear what content you're going to work with. What text and images do you plan to work with and why? Narrow the type of content you want to work with - is there a theme? How do you find this content - is there a method to collecting it: following a hashtag on Twitter, browsing a particular forum?
In short, the content, the material is what will make the outcome interesting. I'd spend some time trying to zone in on what media you really want work with. Spend time developing this aspect for next Thursday!
P.S. How are you addressing the second component of the brief: How do you think this could make money? Why?
I think you have a good idea of the style of your appropriation. However, it's unclear to me what exactly you're envisioning for your artwork in terms of 'relating to technology'. What are you imagining for the art that is going along with the text? I like that you found your theme, but I'm excited to see how you're going to bring that theme to life.
Great product! I think it fully represents exactly what your intentions were. I like your choices for the modern parts of your pieces. Your documentation is also well written. One thing that I would suggest is reevaluating your chosen "main points" for color in the images, but it seems you have already considered that in your self critique. Good job.
