Toy Stove Pot

Made by Adella Guo

In a group of three (an engineer, a designer, and a writer), we investigated how a toy stove pot worked without taking it apart. We first noticed how the vegetables moved up and down in an alternating pattern. This helped us lead to the hypothesis that there were three layers (one for each colored vegetable and the flat "soup" layer), and a gear was pushing the layers up in an alternating pattern to make it work.
