Product Description:

The very idea of spending our entire life with someone seems to have alarmed people to a great extent, and the statistics of the divorce rates in our city last 2 years, are testimony to that. In order, to discourage annulment and promote family values among everyone, the President has taken an initiative to start the strengthening of the marriage bond right from the time they say “I DO”.

The solution obtained is to bring out wedding bands that make the life of each one’s better half easier. Having a suspicion or misunderstanding is always detrimental to a relationship, and this band aims at eliminating the same. It is an ordinary band that comes along with a feature of detecting lies/truth, when uttered, by your partner. It is an improved version of the Internet of Things technology as this device takes in the hormonal inputs of every user, and accordingly indicates if they are telling the truth or not. Since, it just involves a chip to detect the input and an audio device to give an output, it is miniature in size and can be integrated into any wedding band of the couple’s selection.

Design Recommendations:

1. The design should respect the user's decisions and shouldn’t offend their privacy in any condition, especially by revealing or publishing sensitive information. In this design, this ring invades the user’s privacy to a great extent.

2. The design should be able to provide reliable results to users. The truth or lie judged by a device can be highly unreliable and can lead to misunderstandings between the couple. The sensors are not good enough to provide highly reliable to users.

3. Users should be able to opt out of the design easily so that they can have the sense of control over the design. This ring is actually a burden to the user rather than a bonding tool for his/her marriage. The device also records and stores the data collected about user habits and the rate of lying which is an unethical practice.

4. The product should provide an ambient feedback to users rather than very annoying notification, requiring too much attention from users. The feedback system of this ring is too annoying for the user.
