The original thought was just to create a new ending. I just watched this anime and was so impressed how it integrated cute characters into bloody scenes and sad storyline without making weirdness. The original ending of this story is really sad. This anime has a few 'deep' meaning, for example, about friendship and their own lives, about hope and despair.
However, life should be beautiful, so I chose to create a good story that gives up all the deep meaning. Also, this is an illusion to those who haven't watched Madoka that this anime tells a happy story and justice will always win.
