An IoT that waters and monitors a plant for you
We created a set of robotic racers based on the mechanism of pop-up books. These robots are low cost, easy to mass produce, and act as the corner stone in our ongoing exploration into pop-up robotics. To culminate this leg of our research we organised an underground robot racing competition.
This project is the second part in an ongoing exploration of the pop up and how humans and computers can work together to design them.
Our goal for this project was to create a hybrid design system that utilizes both human and machine skills. We have created a system to help design pop up mechanism. Using both computer simulations and physical paper our system allows for rapidly prototyping.
