We were tasked to create an 3D printed object that would fulfill the act of holding. I wanted to create something convenient and useful. In my room, my desk space is a total mess. It is oftentimes so cluttered I can’t find the things I need. When I leave the dorm I typically carry around a few objects everyday: phone, wallet, watch, and sometimes glasses. When I am in a rush it is hard to locate these objects on my desk when it is so messy.
Our project intention is to learn how to use the program Fusion 360 in order to properly receive the DXF files to laser cut an analog clock.
I want it to help facilitate communication of the shared space. My Home hack project aims to expedite automatic and quick communication between roommates for the occupation of the dorm room. Rather than having to reach out to each other or having to go out of one’s way to let each other know, my product acknowledge the presence of a roommate in the room. This way, I can let my roommate enjoy her free time in the dorm without worrying about any intrusions.
