This is a reading of the beginning of Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock by T.S. Elliot, including the epigraph at the beginning from Inferno, with a music accompaniment composed of loops from Logic Pro X. When planning out this piece, I tried to introduce the components one at the time and let the music build to a climax at the end of the epigraph. I used the gradual compounding of these different components and a crescendo to achieve this.
I then sharply cut the accompaniment at the end of the epigraph and let the speaking of the poem stand on its own to highlight the first verse. I introduced music again at the end and ended the piece with sharp string stabs.
