Toilet Vacancy Monitor
Made by Christopher Holliday
Made by Christopher Holliday
This project is designed to communicate whether the bathroom is vacant, and to alert a user as they are leaving if they forgot to put the seat back down. A proximity sensor keeps track of whether or not there is someone in front of the toilet, and a Force Sensitive Resistor (FSR) keeps track of whether or not the toilet seat is down. There are two green LEDs, one of which turns on to indicate that the bathroom is vacant, and the other turns on to indicate that the toilet seat is down. There is a small speaker, which buzzes if the toilet seat is up, and there is no one at the toilet (they left the seat up).
