Choirs, and Organs, and Strings. Oh my.

There are four sounds used in this piece: a sustained organ note, choir voices, orchestral percussion, and strings.  I took the song "When David Heard" by Eric Whitacre, and used the long, sustained notes for my piece. I changed the pitches and speeds, added a tiny bit of reverb, then worked to make each note even in volume-- though this detracted from the balance of the piece and ultimately made the voices sound less important than I intended for them to be. My piece doesn't necessarily follow a standard ABA etc. format, but it loosely follows an ABCBA format in terms of build up (C being the climax when the voices enter the piece.)

I commented on the posts of Francisco, Eunice, and Tonya.
