The landscape was probably the most difficult for me. I wasn't sure how to achieve simplicity or have a clearly defined subject and still have a landscape photograph. So instead, I focused on balance.

Since I was in the park, I liked the idea of capturing something man made in nature. This was my favorite angle of the bench and I really liked how the graffiti looked from here, but I wish those darker trees in the background were a little further right for balance. I tried that a difference angle for that, but the bench didn't look nearly as nice so I kept this one. The depth of field helped make the image much simpler as the leaves on the ground were very busy, and it also helped to make the graffiti more the subject than the bench.

I really enjoyed this one. The depth of field kept everything super simple, and the dark background created really nice balance with the egg.

This is from a series of photographs I took of Lindsay Cavallo cooking. She was just starting to cook some pasta here. I'm not sure there was really enough motion going on to capture what I wanted, but I still liked this photograph. It was a little more busy than the others, but I really like the balance going on, and the flames look really nice.

Lindsay just got a pet mouse this weekend, and has been really excited about it. She took her out of the cage to play, and I took this photo of her holding her. I like the dark furniture creating the background, but I wish I could have tried a few more angles to try to frame them better. They didn't stay still for very long, though.
