Interesting idea! I believe that pop art style food has the potential to be very intriguing. One thing that comes to mind when I read your proposal was the movie "Cloudy with a chance of meatballs". In the film or books, food is taken to mimic scenery, so it may help you with ideas.
One other thing is that it seems your theme touches on the idea that appearance often times creates our judgement on things. Maybe you can touch on that on an overall level, by using food as the example
The idea is innovative. It intends to not only present common food in a creative, artistic way, but also explore a more profound meaning in the field---an act that leads viewers into a more insightful understanding of food. Bur for me, it is really hard to decide the composition and subjects in the painting. Therefore, I really look forward to seeing your work and hope to get inspiration from it.
