This example clearly shows the concepts of foreground and background by emphasizing the repetition and how different a prominent foreground can make very similar or even identical backgrounds seem. This is further expanded through the competing voices especially in the "take on me" section, where the very high note is clearly in the foreground. Also of note is the slightly humourous point this song makes when it shows how similar music is and how the subtle differences in the foreground can change the perception of the background intimately. Also, just saying, this piece is all about chord [progression and the novelty of trying to figure out what song you're listening to.
