For this project, I used excerpts from my 10 minute sound journal from last week. I looped snippets from the journal starting with the footsteps, and progressing with the crosswalk sound. I used the accelerating car sound in conjunction with the crosswalk sound and the car horn to represent someone running a red light. The composition ends with the fading crosswalk sound once more, leaving the ending fairly open ended as to whether or not there was an accident.
I found it difficult to normalize the background sound of the cars from different excerpts, since I didn't always want to cross fade and break the continuity of the piece. Additionally, the tone quality of the background cars were often quite different, so it was hard to blend them when I took the excerpts and cut them next to each other.
