Photo Porosity

Made by Dan Russo

Photo Porosity is an active and permeable building skin that explores variable privacy. The partition is able to open and close it's porous surface via tension of a flexible membrane. The membrane is actuated by light level differences between either side of the skin. If it is relatively bright outside, the membrane will open for sunlight and views. However, if the light amount inside is greater than the outside, the membrane closes to provide privacy.
