The purpose of the video I created was to shine a light on parts of Apple technologies that many of us heavily rely on. Although short, this video demonstrates a possible auditory-visual experience that people could experience through my project idea. I hope to invoke feelings of panic, loss, and a feeling of being overwhelmed when watching this video. This is to highlight the reliance we have when using a singular companies ecosystem. As the viewer experiences these feelings they will hopefully understand the glaring issue behind the way such companies trap us within their grasps. Although this is not a finished product, I plan to develop it further once we have more tools available to us.

To create my video I used an online video editor called kapwing. Kapwing is a lightweight, cloud-based video editor that allows for easy importing of images and videos from all over the web. Many of the videos I used in my presentation were found from the Apple youtube channel as well as some other tech reviewers channels'. Also, I used my own personal iPad to record some of the connecting sequences for the Apple Pencil and AirPods. I hoped that the technique of overlaying videos on top of fast-paced music would invoke emotions in the viewer.
My approach to this project was to create a brief, robust, preview of what my full project could look like. Although there are many finishing touches and refinements that need to be made, I believe this video accurately showed the framework for what I plan to do in the future. I explored the idea of invoking certain feelings through a fast-paced visual experience. Originally, I planned to create a gif that highlighted the things I presented in my video, however, I found that this was too short of a medium to accurately present my idea. My design choice of having rapidly alternating short clips overlayed on fast-paced audio was to create a feeling of anxiety and loss, something that one would feel if they had to leave a companies product ecosystem entirely. One challenge that I encountered was finding a free video editing software that could support multiple videos playing at once, but after a brief google search, I was able to find Kapwing.
After reviewing the video I made, I believe that this project only really scratched the surface of what I am trying to accomplish. While the main purpose and idea are present within the video, I believe it could have been executed in a much nicer manner. In the future, I hope to gain access to better video editing tools so that hopefully the presentation will seem a lot more fluid. One thing that I learned from this experience is that flashing videos are not enough to invoke deep emotions within a viewer. Specific music, high-quality transitions, and relatable content are required to accomplish this. In the future, if I were to refine this idea I would have included better, more fitting, music, higher quality videos, customizability so that the content relates to the viewer, as well as made the video longer to further engross the viewer. One way I could go about this is by using software to create different variations of this video. These variations would be based on technology that the viewer personally uses, rather than just Apple technology.
