We've all been here!
Picture yourself enjoying a night out at a bar with your friends. Drinks in hand, and on the way to the dance floor, you feel someone grab your butt. Shocked, you turn around, but the culprit has already vanished in the crowd. You don't want to make a scene, but a part of your feels slightly violated.
Imagine a world where butt grabbers were taught a little lesson. With the "Do-Not-Grab" Butt Zapper, they may think twice before reaching again.
This project includes my proposal to create a sound activated Iron Man costume along with the work I created during the Soft Fabrication Class.
To create a responsive origami tessellation to alter the tempo of natural light in an environment, thereby affording a slower walking pace for the occupants of that space. The presence of a person below the structure triggers a slow movement, so if someone is in a rush, then they will miss what is happening right above their heads. This structure prompts people to take the time to slow down, look up, and observe what is going on around them.
We constructed a wearable device that can attach to a backpack or bag and notifies the user when they have been exposed to too much UV radiation.
