Brief: Explore a spooky line of design inquiry that reveals an aspect of a system that is hidden. Make (an aspect of) a hidden system visible, tangible, perceivable, or discussable through a designed artifact.

This is a study in the play of light and shadow on a revolving form. Through backlighting the object, the shot becomes scaleless, and its revolutions push and pull the amount of light.

We wanted to foster more conversations between the Pittsburgh community, visitors, and the hill district community. Memorialize the community space, items and people who were displaced, through a mixed media light display and projection technology triggered by tiles.

A web extension, Vault, that would allow a visualization of one’s deletion of personal content from their Facebook. This visual and/or sound effect would be something cathartic or satisfying. In addition, the sense of satisfaction (instead of emptiness, from deletion of content) could be further emphasized with a sort of abstraction of the content that was deleted.
