In order for people to become aware of what happens inside of buildings, a degree of Facilitated Awareness may be necessary. By illuminating what happens inside the bridge, the project attempts to get pedestrians to ask what happens in a monolithic building.

A piece of the sky seeks to mitigate the segregation that has been happening in the East Liberty area as a result of the influx of Tech Companies through a whimsical and therapeutic interactive installation. The concept revolves around projecting the piece of sky that is covered by the new sky bridge and having cookies from the Nabisco factory floating in and out of the clouds triggering people to step on them to create a chain of interactions.

The installation is a large-scaled representation of the needle toy that makes an imprint of a hand or whatever object is put into it. This machine or toy can react to any amplitude type data, and thus it can react to sound and pressure changes.
