This project changes light colors based on movement within a stairwell. It deals with reflective/non-reflective surfaces that further manipulate the overall effect of the light in the stairwell area, creating an other-worldly experience.

Digital Fireflies revolves around the idea of a passive interaction between the physical realm and digital interaction. Building on the preferences of the home owners, we’ve set up a projection system that imitates fireflies but also reacts to the temperature of the immediate surrounding context. This display as a passive overlay on the residential landscape is bound to create a soothing experience and elevate the sense of the space and nature as well.
This installation displays the emotions of the users, compiling and collecting stats for the general emotional state of the company and displaying it both inside and outside the glass walls of the bridge.

In a busy and constantly changing world, it can be hard to keep up with everyone we meet or everything we learn. The result of integrating core principles of associative learning into this project should be a device that would tackle this problem by making visual aids for daily use, so we can remember who we met or what small task we learned to do more accurately and more reliably.
